Facelift:

We hope our friends at Hidden Image have some extra-thick parkas, because we’re getting the chills just looking at this Porsche Boxster mule.Caught testing in wintry Sweden and on the road near Stuttgart, it would appear that Porsche’s enchanting roadster is set to receive some styling tweaks in time for 2008. Of note, the car receives a revamped front bumper fascia incorporating LED daytime running lamps and rounded-off air intakes. From these photos, it’s unclear whether the car will receive new headlamps, but given that they’re disguised here, it’s a reasonably safe bet. Out back, there’s a new rear bumper cap, as well as new taillamps incorporating LED lighting.
Sadly, mums the word on any drivetrain or interior updates, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.
Sooner than expected we can show you pictures of the face lifted version of Porsche’s Boxster during winter testing in northern Scandinavia and on the road near Stuttgart. Already once the Boxster underwent a restyling in 2004, so the new one can be expected in 2008.
The car will then get a new front bumper with LED daylight driving lights as well as re-designed and much rounder air intakes. The headlamps are disguised too, so we guess that they also will get a new shape. Furthermore a new rear bumper and completely new taillights with LED are included in this major restyling. Technical improvements are for now still unknown as are changes to the interior.
The photos are showing a test car at night on wintry roads in Sweden and one clear photo of a rear view, this one also with the upcoming new taillights and the new bumper and spoiler.
Weet iemand of er ook een facelift komt van de Cayman? Met LED-achterlichten eventueel? Want die komen ook in de 2008/2009 911 … Want dat zou mij persoonlijk niet goed uitkomen 🙂
