The refreshed Porsche Boxster has returned in a new spy photo, depicting a slightly less camouflaged prototype.
It’s still way too early to predict what the final design changes to the new Boxster would be but we noticed some styling improvements for the front bumper and revised headlights graphics. Also notable are the new wheels, but maybe these will be used only during the test phase.
The big news for the Boxster will actually be hidden underneath the body, where a range of flat-four turbocharged engines will be installed. No official details are available at the moment, but most likely we are going to see a 2.0-liter unit with 286 bhp (213 kW), a 2.5-liter with up to 360 bhp (268 kW) and probably an entry-level 1.6 with 210 bhp (156 kW).
The facelifted Boxster will make its global premiere in the first half of 2016 along with the refreshed Cayman coupe.
