  • dit nieuw ontwerp 911 rally auto zou deze maand te zien zijn op het autosalon 2014 Beijing:

According to the latest word, Porsche could be set to unveil a Porsche 911 Safari rally car at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show 2014 next month. Of course, such a car wouldn’t be the first of its kind as Porsche did the same thing decades ago. However, as it turns out, one enthusiast has already started work on a modern-day 911 Safari.
Based on the previous generation Porsche 997 911, the car is being created by Silberform AG. Physical work did actually start on turning the man behind the company dream’s into reality. However, following rising costs, work has ceased.
Nevertheless, we do have the following completed renderings to enjoy. Most importantly, this Porsche 997 S4 Safari car has been created with custom off-road suspension jointly developed with the former CEO of HP Suspension. The new suspension increased the ground clearance dramatically up to 280-300 mm while running on massive 275/55 R 20 tyres.
Outside, the car features all new panels designed to improve cooling in hot desert temperatures. For example, the air intakes and grille up front have been enlarged while a prominent roof scoop has been created to send cool air down into the engine at the rear. Additional changes include flared arches, a completely redesigned rear end and quad off-roading lights at the front.
